Bonus Antlered Deer Stamps
A Bonus Antlered Deer Stamp is required by all license holders to take a second antlered deer for each deer management region and season. For example, a deer hunter must purchase a Bonus Antlered Deer Stamp before attempting to take a second antlered deer with a firearm in Region B. An individual who purchases a Bonus Antlered Deer Stamp but does not use it during a particular season may use that stamp during any subsequent season in that hunting license year. Bonus Stamps are not required to take antlerless deer.
Whitetail Deer Harvested With a Bow During Muzzleloader
or Firearms Hunting Season
Deer harvested with a bow during the antlerless-only second split of the early muzzleloader season must count towards the bow bag limit. Deer harvested with a bow during the first-split either-sex early muzzleloader or late muzzleloader season must count towards the muzzleloader season bag limit. Hunters must have a muzzleloader stamp to hunt deer with a bow during the first-split either-sex early muzzleloader or late muzzleloader season. Deer harvested with a bow during the 2-week firearms or 2-day late firearms season must count towards the firearms bag limit.
Hunter Education and Safety Requirement
To purchase a hunting license or hunt in Maryland, state law requires:
- Presentation of a Certificate of Competency in Firearms and Hunting Safety (required for junior licenses), or
- Certification that you held a hunting license issued prior to July 1, 1977, or
- Certification that you hunted on private property prior to July 1, 1977, and were legally exempt from purchasing a hunting license, or
- Certification that you are purchasing a nonresident license and will only hunt waterfowl.

Successful New York Hunter

Brian's 8 pointer, Maryland Hunter
We have developed a hunting policy for
all clients that will be participating on any deer hunts on land controlled
by Deer Haven Outfitter's. This policy was necessary due to problems
we have experienced with various hunters and groups of hunters in the
past. We expect all hunters to comply with and abide by all the terms
and conditions within this policy. Our guide will issue a verbal warning
for minor violations. Violations such as walking, hunt interference,
stalking, formal and informal deer drives will not be tolerated. Our
number one priority is customer satisfaction. We expect all hunters
to be respectful and considerate to others hunting in the same area.
It is very important that you follow the guide's instruction to avoid
interference of other hunters, avoid moving deer out of our controlled
area, unnecessary scent distribution etc. We strive to make each hunt
enjoyable, memorable and successful. Inconsiderate behavior not only
reduces your chance for success but it also effects other clients scheduled
to hunt. Therefore it is necessary to make each individual comply and
abide by the terms and conditions within our policy.

Deer Haven Outfitter's reserves the right
to terminate any scheduled hunt at any time without any refund if you
violate any of the terms and conditions within our policy. No Exceptions!
No Excuses! This policy is in the best interest of our clients. We
find it necessary to strongly enforce our policy to protect the land
that we control and to ensure that following clients have an opportunity
to be successful. We appreciate your consideration and sincerely hope
to hear from you. Best of Luck Hunting! Thanks!
